How can I bring my dead grass back to life!?
I live in the High Desert in California [Victorville,CA]
We just purchased this home on a tract and the real estate co' let the grass die. It was completly dead at first ,I pulled out the weeds by hand then we starting watering it daily,and now have green patches of grass on different parts of the lawn. BUT now also have really high weeds growing. yesterday we tried and remove those high weeds...not all....sooo now we have PATCHES OF GREEN GRASS ....DIRT....SOME WEEDS...CAN I BRING THIS LAWN BACK TO LIFE?? OR SHOULD I JUST INSTALL NEW SOD?
Before you spend the extra money for sod get some Shultz Iron Green. You can get it at lowes or home depot, it is in a bottle that attaches to your garden hose. Just hook it up and turn on the water and spray on all the spots that are bad. It works well as long as you are getting enough water to your lawn. It works on mine. If it works on yours you will save a lot, if not, you only spent about $10 for 2 bottles. Good luck.
