Tips and tricks for a long journey with diabetes?
So I'll travel to the west of the road to see the redwoods in California. I'm from mid-June to mid July. I have planned to hike as many national parks as possible, and perhaps look at real estate in Oregon. I have diabetes 1 and wanted to see if any of you have any suggestions. I know all the basics, take what you need and additional in the case, have a prescription on hand in case you need more medication, keep insulin in a cooler, snacks in each bag and car. The kinds of things to say, I know a man carrying a thermos of coffee, half full of ice and sticks, then wrapped in paper towel and insulin zipper to take the mountain for two days. Nothing you want to know to have this experience before. In addition, if you can think of a specific place or activity I look for when I'll be there. Thanks in advance! And remember, the answer most creative, innovative, useful and are points.
It seems unlikely that in the summer, but during a backpack trip in California in August, my insulin refrigerated night ... She learned to sleep with me in my sleeping bag. (We were at a great height ... but I would not more.)
